Read my VisualDNA Get your own VisualDNA™

I just want to whine , but i've got heaps to go to before the Voice Lectures, and this *thing* won't stop bugging me, altho there's no resolution, probably isn't even really a problem. So I procrastinate, read grouphug.us and do this

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

emotionally broke, that's what I am.

I can't count the number of times this past 7 days that I've wished I had deeper reserves, higher boundaries, wider walls. I'm just not big enough to contain all the things that I need to, to do all the things expected of me, be all that I feel that I need to. A surrogate-mother, sister, girlfriend, I'm compelled to do all these things and be more (not always well) without really knowing what to do for and with myself.

Australia continually challenges me to enter the forge in life, to see if I'll come out tempered and steely, or to be discarded; the tuesday morning garbage trucks waiting to pick up the slag and leave space for the new. I will be strong.

I have to be.

Listening to all the songs that used to characterize the weekly morning drive to tampines is a bittersweet memory. I miss the feeling of independence that comes with driving, sometimes mindlessly. Long drives to the further reaches of Singapore; tampines, sembawang, kallang, will always be memories that i cherish. Even certain MLTR evokes the ghost of a smile, and happy memories. Even tho in Australia a car is an affordable luxury, it's just that, a luxury, that i do not need. Just because man can do something, doesn't mean he should.

But on this flip side, the fact that man should do something doesn't always mean that he does. I now know more about international current affairs then I ever have in my soon-to-be 2 year sojourn in the land down under. What i don't know as well is the articulation and phonology that I should be acquiring. (side note to self, She Will be Loved followed by Clocks is an inspired ipod sequence) In a short but boring night, I have painted my fingernails hooker red, read 3 separate international newspapers websites extensively, convinced myself that a snack is a good idea twice, and generally done all the things that a procrastinating university student does. I hate multiple exam weeks, especially at short notice.

Musings on a musty Sunday night. I wish those blissful snores were mine.
