ok enough self advertisment....

i think i've grown up. i feel like it. i'm so glad to have gone through all that i've gone through, done all that i've done, and come out stronger. i know where my life is going, and for the first time, i control my destiny.

i fly the world, and know that i can live, and function, and enjoy, in any country that i so choose. that is the most precious gift i have been given. i am loved, know love, and give love to my family and those who are around me, who number far more then blood would have allowed.

i am contented with my life. the future is unknown, the past was painful, but the present, for now, is secure.

how ironic.

i'm studying about chimp language, the historical move from old Norse to old English, and the preference once-upon-a-time for French in old Britain, for my English linguistics module, while listening to Chinese and Spanish music.

tonight, post paper, i will have me a nice break. and a gym session. my muscles are aching for activity.

oh, and the hamster will land on sunday the 18th, at 3. wheeeeee! then she's off to the land of dimsum(yum) she hopes the bunny will have fun in melbie =)

hmmmmmm... *contented little tipsy grin*

part one of the last party before the big exams was goodish. thank you matt for staying disgustingly sober and driving us home! much sidesplittingly funny times, and fun, but i want to be publicly thankful that although i'm a gemini, i'm thankful that i do not have an evil twin.

said evil twin (ET) of good friend refused to allow said friend's boyfriend of long standing to their birthday party. ET then makes loud obnoxious comments about how much fun they are having at the party when friend is on phone with boyfriend. biatch. friend is now sad, and since ET nly allowed 4 of friend's friends to the party, when we had to go home to brisbane (the party was on the coast) friend was now dejectedly all alone. with ET's loud 'i'm-so-totally-brainlessly-hip' friends from a certain uni on the gold coast. poor friend. but we all have the same birthday, hence part 2 will be on tuesday night. mmmmmmm.

i like being a singleton.

but! just for the record, sonia and matt are fun *contented grin*

did you know that SWOTVAC actually means Study Without Teaching Vacation?

i didn't

found here
Marriage has in it less beauty, but more of safety, than the single life; it hath not more ease, but less danger; it is more merry and more sad; it is fuller of sorrows and fuller of joys; it lies under more burdens, but is supported by all the strengths of love and charity; And those burdens are delightful.
it's kinda like living together. or being in a relationship that has in it more gravity then would appear.

being an international student (oh how i love that phrase. just cuz it makes me feel oh-so-intellectual) is something that has made me realise that my family isn't just my family. it is the people whom you love, the people who you eat dinner with everyday, and keep an extra packet of food in the fridge for. it's not, as i have been enthusiastically preached to, the boy/girlfriend who is oh-so-hot-in-bed, but i know it is the one who'll remember to pick up milk and noodles on a cold winter's night on the way home. it's the one who'll wake up at un-godly hours cuz you have an exam to study for, and make you comfort food while you study cuz you have a goldfish's attention when you're studying, but can msn/blogspy for hours. it's the housemate who'll but you a ticket to see a movie even tho you say you're not going, cuz she knows you'd secretly love to. it's the friends who will take crazy bus-rides with you to wild and weirdish places to buy bonsai. and then go on a road trip to deliver it. it's the person who will be dragged out of bed at 5am on a winter's morning to go to the gym cuz you cannot 'stick to it alone'. it's editing essays at midnight and having so much fun you realised you haven't done much.

marriage (herasey here, read not if you are easily offended) is more then just a couple (mw/ww/mm or whatever floats your boat) saying vows. it's two people's commitment to making a relationship work, it's symbiosis. it's what people mean when two flavours (of people or food or ideals) mesh in a way that brings out the best in each.

to my family, i love you.

and to you. i love you too. =)
