sand sea and surf

the coast was surreal. like i could just live on that beach, i swear.

we had the best seafood at this place called george's paragon. it's this Mediterranean-style restaraunt that i swear serves the best seafood on the coast. altho i may be biased cuz it's been 3 months since i've had anything resembling seafood. and we stayed at this really cute little backpackers inn, altho i'm still getting over sleeping on the creakiest bed i have ever seen/heard :)

and the beach? omg the the beach! when it's dark and it's just the the waves and the beach and you can't see the line between the sky and sea, i could just live there. the sand is so fine, it's like caster sugar or really fine salt, and when you walk, it sings? that's why they call it the singing beach i guess. but it's just so pretty! it was cold cuz it's officially spring now, but i wouldn't have it any other way, with the wind and the waves and.... okay i should stop now.

dreamworld was pretty. like, i can't do alot of the rides, but it was still fun. the bg brother house is damn tiny, like i thought it would be bigger! (
big brother's this reality show) no wonder everyone goes crazy and starts doing weird stuff. oh well.

and then
currumbin was peaceful. it's like an animal sancuary (not a zoo) but i saw the most amazing animals. i finally saw a real wombat :) it was just really cool to go back to somewhere i remember going to as a kid. and i saw the most adorable babies! humans as well as animals *big grin*

what else did we do? nothing much i guess, just really really relaxed (did you know that walking barefoot on the beach with really fine sand is like getting a massage?) i'm ready to face 2nd sem (i think).

i'll post the pictures up another time. still trying to figure out how to post them in collages, not huge-ass individual pics.
